I got my start in photography with a hand-me-down Pentax desperate to capture wispy backgrounds and golden light. Since becoming a mother, I have honed this skill, mostly, by photographing my girls until they are sick to death of my camera. Then I switched to flowers, birds, and insects. over the years I have found a particular affinity for the tiny details and in telling a great story within every image.
Do you ever get that feeling when you say to yourself,
"I wish I had my camera right now. I want to remember this moment forever."
I do. Constantly, it seems, I am framing these little snippets of life and trying to capture the "just then" moment that will, down the road, bring tears to my eyes. I absolutely love capturing that feeling for both my family and for yours.
